Patrycja Walczak’s Poltik family has just been released and we’re excited to see its novel look put to eye-catching use.
We are proud to announce Patrycja Walczak, the 2023 Gerard Unger Scholarship winner, has released Poltik as her first family, and it has a lot to offer.
Poltik is a two-toned family with a reverse contrast text and eye-catching headliner for a stylish, expressive presence. Both act as statement pieces, weighing heavy with aesthetic value, reliability, and an invitation to imbue type with emotion again.
Poltik is packed with two display styles, ten text styles (five upright and five italic), full Latin support covering over 200 languages, some fun ornaments (arrows, circled numerals, shapes, and manicules), and is also available as two variable fonts.

Patrycja Walczak is a typeface and graphic designer from Poland. She graduated in 2024 with a master’s degree in graphic design from the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznań. In 2022, she participated in the Erasmus+ programme at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Ireland. Inspired by 1970s industrial design, Patrycja created Poltik, a display typeface that was awarded the 2023 Gerard Unger Scholarship and subsequently expanded into a full family. Currently, Patrycja is a junior type designer at Type Together.
While her primary focus is type design, she also explores the role of typography in branding and communication, along with various other areas of design to fuel her curiosity and keep her creatively engaged. Patrycja enjoys working with pottery in her free time.
