Cecilia Brarda
Motion & graphic designer
Dr María Cecilia Brarda has a degree in Visual Communication Design from the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urbanism at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, in Santa Fe, Argentina. Her passion for motion design led her to complete a Master’s Degree in Typography, Disciplines, and Uses from the University of Barcelona in 2011 and she completed her PhD in Design at the FADU of the University of Buenos Aires in 2023.
María Cecilia has been a teacher-researcher since 2007, serving as Head of Practical Works in Design, Graphic Communication, and Morphology. She teaches several postgraduate courses: “Type in motion: The audiovisual typographic narration” (since 2019) and “Motion Graphics Design: From graphic design to moving design” (since 2012). María Cecilia also participates in conferences and leads workshops at national and international events (TypeWknd 2020, Trimarchi 2019, Pixalation 2018, Sigradi 2018, etc.).
María Cecilia now works as a freelance designer in addition to her academic position. She published her 2016 book Motion Graphics Design: The creative direction in TV branding with Barcelona’s Gustavo Gili Publishing House. María Cecilia's motion graphics career has already spanned more than ten years and she has worked on type and motion projects for TypeTogether since 2016.
